4 of New York Fashion Week featured designs by Diane Von Furstenberg, Jackie Fraser-Swan for Emerson, and Tracy Reese. We’ve assessed these collections and came up with our list of trends from Day 4. Enjoy!
Diane Von Furstenberg – Fall 2013 Collection
Diane sent a considerable amount of printed and colorful garments down the runway on day 4 of New York Fashion Week. Most of the prints came in the animal print variety and mixing prints was par for the course. A collection by DVF would not be complete without her signature wrap dresses, but other silhouettes were also featured from jumpsuits to matching separates. Diane’s garments came in all colors from black and white to hues of red, pink, burgundy & blue.
Emerson – Fall 2013 Collection
Jackie Fraser-Swan the brains behind the designs at Emerson, showed a feminine and quirky collection for the Fall. Jackie’s favorite pattern for the fall is clearly plaid, as plaid was evident in 99% of the designs and in unexpected ways. Jackie’s “ready-for-work” silhouettes were made edgy with the addition of leather & shimmery fabrics.
Tracy Reese – Fall 2013 Collection
Tracy Reese’s collection was perfect for the heart of the city downtown gal. Featuring fun animal and floral prints in all colors and fits, Tracy’s looks can’t help but generate smiles from her audience. Accessories were fun with shades and a living cat! You can imagine a chic city girl walking her dog down the street in any of these frocks.
