Three ladies, three completely different takes on glamorous fashion for fall. Each designer has a unique vision for their designs, and each collection had it’s own unique beauty. So whether you need a cocktail dress for a party, inspiration for a formal event, or just want to dream of of what it would be like to walk down the red carpet, we’ve got three fashion week designer collections you don’t want to miss.
Joanna Mastroianni – Fall 2013 Collection
Joanna’s collection can be summed up into three words: glam, edgy & sexy. A woman adorned in any one of her pieces would be the center of attention in any room. Joanna’s silhouettes were uber-feminine ranging from short mini-dresses to long gowns. Almost every piece had something that shined and sparkled. Her designs focused on mixing fabrics over print, combining transparent nylon mesh with heavier fabrics choices.
Reem Acra – Fall 2013 Collection
Reem Acra’s inspiration for the Fall was Japan. This influence was apparent in her garments, especially those with floral print. Reem included other prints in her collection such as herringbone and plaid. The color palette for her designs was red, black, white & grey. She also seemed to favor the popular sheer, nylon mesh overlay on a number of her garments.
Jenny Packham – Fall 2013 Collection
Jenny Packham’s collection was gorgeous and ethereal. The clothes had a touch or royalty to them, making it easy to imagine the Duchess of Cambridge Kate appearing in all of them. Jenny chose to stay with pastels for the Fall, typically a color palette reserved for Spring. The movement of her gowns was beautiful, and the fit of the gowns was perfect. These can easily be red carpet dresses.
