On September 9, 2023, Dur Doux, celebrated for its innovation and commitment to sustainable practices, revealed its Spring/Summer 2024 collection, aptly titled “Sous-Marine,” at The Green Show hosted during New York Fashion Week. Held at the soon-to-open BondSt Hudson Yards, the event exemplified the power of fashion as a force for positive change.
Dur Doux’s “Sous-Marine” collection consisted of 34 looks, each a vivid ode to underwater life’s profound beauty and fragility. As native Floridians, the designers at Dur Doux hold a deep connection to the ocean and a sincere desire to protect it.
The color palette includes ombre pinks-reds, ombre greens-whites, cool beiges-browns, and sea blues. Garments crafted from eco-friendly textured Italian knits, such as Salamander Ibiza knit and the exclusive ‘Brain Coral’ knit, Neptune Coral and Sea Grass mesh, Flamingo crepe and satin, Conch Shell printed cotton, Nudibranch swim knit, and dazzling micro sequins offered a sensory journey through underwater hues and textures.
Among the standout pieces were flowing kaftans that mimicked the ebb and flow of ocean waves. Floor-length shirts adorned with intricate coral-inspired patterns added depth, while ruffled bandeaus brought to mind the playfulness of sea creatures. Dur Doux also introduced one and two-piece sustainable swimwear and beachwear, encouraging viewers to embrace eco-conscious fashion choices for the season.
To enhance the visual impact of the collection, each look was styled by Christine Manthey, complemented by the shoe designs of Tejahn Burnett, and adorned with jewelry pieces by Sophie Blake.
The brand consciously selected eco-friendly and OEKO-TEX-certified fabrics, ensuring that their creations have minimal environmental impact. This deliberate choice aligns seamlessly with The Green Show’s mission to promote sustainable fashion and lifestyle choices, creating a harmonious partnership.

At The Green Show, beyond the runway, a panel discussion led by Roman Bolli of South Pole convened a diverse group of sustainability experts. The topics discussed ranged from sustainable lifestyle changes and corporate solutions to ethical production practices and the role of fashion in climate change mitigation. The event also featured an after-party where guests indulged in delectable sushi and cocktails while enjoying the Hudson River’s breathtaking views. ELEMEDTM provided eleBoostTM Vitamin B12 shots during the event, promoting wellness and eco-conscious living, and the event’s gift bags featured eco-friendly products.
As it prepares to take its sustainability message worldwide, with events planned in Dubai, Paris, London, and Milan, The Green Show’s goal is to inspire a global movement.
