As a New York Fashion Week content producer, my favorite job is to go behind the scenes and observe all of the people who work backstage to put on the fashion shows shown all over the world. This past season I was privileged to go backstage at New York Fashion Week with Melissa d’Attilio of Fly Productions Creative, one of the top fashion show producers. Her long list of impressive clients speaks volumes about the quality of her work.
Go backstage with Melissa d’Attilio and see what it takes to put on the fashion shows for Naeem Khan, Rebecca Taylor, and Tess Giberson.
Naeem Khan Spring 2014 Fashion Show
The Spring 2014 collection made it’s debut in the prestigious Theater tent at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. The Fly Productions Creative team brought Naeem Khan’s vision to life with the construction of a green, live plant “living wall” as the ideal backdrop for the designer’s collection.
Rebecca Taylor Spring 2014 Fashion Show
In an intimate setting at the popular Center548 fashion show venue in Chelsea, Fly Productions worked all night to create a dramatic presentation for Rebecca Taylor’s Spring 2014 collection. The catwalk weaved through rows of guests, each just inches from the models as they walked the runway showcasing the designer’s collection.
Tess Giberson Spring 2014 Fashion Show
The creativity and handiwork of Tess Giberson was illustrated not only in her Spring 2014 collection, but also in the intricate hand-made backdrop created by the designer. Fly Productions Creative worked with a skilled artisan to create a set for the runway show that would reflect the theme of the designer’s collection.
