August Getty’s inspiration of a strong, feline-like woman was clearly shown in his Fall 2015 collection. The designer successfully manipulated one of the hardest textures to master: leather. Leather is usually considered difficult to wear, yet Getty was able to make this beautiful texture appear fluid and easy for any woman to don.
Getty’s vision of a confident ‘Other Woman’ also came to life on the runway with the use of fur, lots of volume and a strong, belted waistline. Fitted silhouettes marked the collection as models confidently strode down the runway in gladiator heels and barely there makeup, letting their inner confident woman shine through.
