Fashion designer Kevan Hall presented his Spring/Summer 2024 Collection, titled “Cote d’Azur”, during New York Fashion Week. This collection is a nostalgic journey back to the refined and sophisticated era of Deauville, France, during the 1930s. Drawing inspiration from this bygone era, where fashion was showcased along the promenade by models adorned in the creations of leading designers, Hall’s collection pays homage to the glamour and elegance of that time.

Hall describes this season’s pieces as a fusion of the rich legacies of Deauville and the Cannes Film Festival, which have contributed to shaping his trademark aesthetic. They reflect a sense of timeless elegance, taking the audience on a journey through the history of French fashion.

Among the looks was the sky blue bustier with feathers. This piece features a delicate shirred texture and is adorned with intricate floral ostrich feathers, adding a touch of elegance. The daring design reveals just the right amount of skin, making it a perfect choice for a sophisticated evening affair.

Another striking ensemble was the Crushed ice Cannes bustier gown that captured the spirit of timeless glamour in its design.

Adding to the allure of this season’s collection is a collaborative partnership with Chatham, a luxury brand renowned for its laboratory-grown gemstones and diamond jewelry. Chatham’s efforts in merging art and science have made them leaders in the industry, with a history spanning over 80 years. Their innovative approach to replicating natural gem-growing conditions has resulted in a collection that ranges from classic to contemporary.

Hall’s ability to also merge classic and contemporary is evident in pieces like the textured turquoise sculpted waist jacket & skirt and the plaid trench coat, embroidered Deauville striped shirt, and high-waist pants outfit. The plaid flutter sleeve maxi dress is another standout piece that captures the essence of sophistication, with the flowing silhouette being a nod to the bygone era of Deauville. All the shoes in this collection are from Nina Shoes, and they elevate each ensemble by adding a final flourish.

The Spring/Summer 2024 collection features 26 exquisite pieces. From the pinstripe crisscross strap sundress to the crepe racer gown, the designer’s collection offers diverse styles and silhouettes to cater to modern women’s fashion desires.

Among the collection’s highlights is the multi-floral bouquet sequin gown, a showstopper and must-have for the Red Carpet season.

As the runway showcased the tangerine off-the-shoulder dress, it was clear that Hall’s vision for the Cote d’Azur collection extended to every aspect of design. The jade bustier with bow and the crushed ice bustier gown showcase an ability to infuse designs with a touch of whimsy and fantasy, adding depth and character to the creations.
