Preparing for a holiday can often be a little bit stressful. You’ll often need to think about border control, accommodation, transfers, and a host of other moving parts. On top of all of this, there’s another crucial factor: clothing and accessories. What are you going to wear, and how is it possible to decide which earrings, handbags, and shoes to bring on a vacation?

The answer: through early planning. If you know exactly what’s going to be in your holiday wardrobe before you board the plane, then you won’t waste any of your precious time making decisions.

Classic Elegance

The classic holiday look is the most reliable one. Ladies might opt for an A-line dress, possibly in red, with details coming from sequins. This pairs nicely with heels or flats. Throw in a few choice earrings and a clutch bag. Then, complete the beachy look with those classic holiday-vibe soft curls.

For men, it’s best to pair a crisp white shirt with a blazer. Navy blue often goes nicely with grey trousers. This is your chance to favour a pair of tan shoes over the black ones. The right wristwatch will help you complete the look.

Beach Vibes

But what if you’re going to be spending time at the beach? Whether you’re planning an extensive tour of the Mediterranean with a yacht charter, or you simply intend to take a day out of your city break and head to the seaside, appropriate beachwear is a must.

Ladies might use a sarong to cover a bikini. Crochet and linen wear work wonderfully for both sexes. Flip flops are immensely practical, as are canvas shoes. Men might favour the latter, especially on longer beach trips.

Cosy Chic

Not all of your holidays, of course, are going to be during the summer. If you’re taking a break later in the year, it’s worth reviewing the local weather and choosing your wardrobe appropriately.

Chunky sweaters are obviously essential around Christmas time. For ladies, a pair of knee-high boots are a reliable complement for this kind of attire. For men, suede loafers are worth considering. Pair them with a woollen beanie!

Glamorous Glamour

In some instances, you might want to pull out all of the stops at a glamorous location like Monaco or the Seychelles. It pays to be bold. Ladies might go for a mini dress in gold or silver, along with matching strappy heels. You can accessorize with the right earrings and bracelets. If it’s too hot to deal with your hair, you can always look for a glamorous, wavy (though low-maintenance) approach.

Men have it slightly easier. A blazer in green or blue matches with black trousers. You can add a little glitz with the help of a silk or sequin shirt. Again, your choice of shiny leather shoes, and wristwatch, is going to make a big difference.
