French Fashion Designer Jacquemus Brings a Mountain of Inspiration to Paris Fashion Week

In Fashion Week by Morgane Furon

Fashion Designer Jacquemus came back with an all-new collection called “La Montagne”, the new Fall 2021 collection. It was introduced to the fashion world on the 30th of June in Paris. It was his first in-person show in a year because of the covid-19 pandemic.

“For this collection, after such a particular year, I wanted to gather people inside and share a fashion moment together. I wanted to focus on the clothes, the silhouettes, the colors, the fabrics, the details, and the energy of the models. I wanted the set to be minimal and sharp, recreating an abstract artistic mountain that portrays the inspiration of the collection” said Jacquemus on his Instagram account.

For those of you who might have missed who this new designer is, Simon Porte Jacquemus is a French stylist who was born in the south of France and who has brought a new vision on fashion. In all his collections you can find a piece of his native region.

Fashion Designer Jacquemus Fall 2021 Collection

Colorful is probably the best word to describe this new collection. Pink, red, yellow, blue were the prominent colors. Fashion Designer Jacquemus even put together some innovative combinations of colors. Of course, the nudes colors such as beige and brown, we’re also present. These are the signature of the brand. A clean and elegant clothing collection.

For the accessories, Jacquemus presented a new bag called “CiuCiu”, a new version of the long “Chiquito” bag. He also showed the mules, a classic of the designer, although this time it was improved with fur.

One of the key pieces of this collection was the crop top. It has been an important piece in the different collections of this season but Jacquemus made an even more tiny version of it. Besides, it was worn by women but also by men, which shows that every piece of clothing can be feminine and masculine. Fashion Designer Jacquemus offered a gender-fluid wardrobe.

Once again, it was a success. With all the colors, shapes, and elegance behind the pieces, Jacquemus offered a different perspective on fashion.

For those of you who are wondering, all the pieces presented during the fashion show are already on the Jacquemus website.
